“Sinhabahu” stage play to be performed in Anuradhapura
“SINHABAHU”, a valuable creation in the history of Sri Lankan drama, will be staged again. This play will be staged on April 8, 2025, at the SURA- PURA Open Air Theatre, Anuradhapura, under the patronage of the Provincial Cultural Department. “SINHABAHU”, created by Professor Ediriweera Sarachchandra, a powerful playwright in the art of drama, holds a high place among the famous plays in Sri Lanka. In particular, the story of SINHABAHU, born from the Jataka stories, is brought to the play with new ideas and a deep artistic expression. The story of “SINHABAHU” raises a vision of social human relations through the play.
