After 7 years, the Sri Lankan women's team won an ODI against the Indian women's team.

It was a three-wicket win against the Indian team in the tri-series.In the match held at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the Indian team scored 275 runs for the loss of 09 wickets while the Sri Lankan team reached the target for the loss of 07 wickets in 49.5 overs.

Harshita Samarawickrama, who played an excellent innings, scored 53 runs and Nilakshika Silva scored 56 runs.

This is the first time that the Sri Lankan women's team has won an ODI against the Indian women's team since 2018.

The hosts Sri Lanka, India and South Africa women's teams are playing in this tri-series
